Immigrants

Should illegal immigrants be granted the same constitutional rights as their legal counterparts? and if so to what extent?

  1. they should, and i believe they do get same treatment.... although just like any other company, people get screwed some how, some way....

the only things that ilegal immigrants can't, won't, shouldn't be able to get , is government privledges such as

    w2's, 401k, social security, etc....

although they don't have to pay taxes, but thats a extremely thin line.....

but they should be treated same way, ust in the end if they never get citizenship, and can't work anymore, they have no back up plan

  2. This is a very sticky subject. I think a lot of times people have preconceived notions about illegal immigrants. We do not realize that there are many undocumented immigrants fits the criteria for what it means to be an American citizens aside from their lack of documentation. Many are kids attending school, students in college, who never had a say in their immigration status.

I think that there should be a passage to citizenship for these illegal immigrants. I strong support the Dream Act, because in do so we recognize that documentation is not what makes us Americans is our contribution to society. And those who are pursuing a higher level of education or serving in our military should be granted a passage to citizen ship and the same rights as the rest of us.

  3. Illegal immigrants are protected under the Constitution, but they do not get the same treatment as legal immigrants. They should get equal treatment, especially since they are protected under the Constitution. If they are protected under the Constitution, then they should have same rights as legal immigrants, right? Isn't America base off of different ethnicity coming to America, legal or not, they have rights too?
