Has anyone seen The Dictator? im surprised how filipinos was mentioned in the movie because it made me feel represented but it was represented in a funny way. its a comedy though so my question is wouldnt you want to be represented as something else rather than funny? for all Asians. p.s. theres another movie coming out called The Campaign and they used Asians again in a funny way.

    like Act of Valor where the terrorist are using Philipino/asian's as suicide bombers............

    I haven't seen this movie, but i think that its fine for me to be represented in a funny way as long as it has true meaning and people will get lesson after.

    However, I don't really know how Filipinos were mentioned in the movie until I don't watch it :)

    It's a good thing that Asians are being represented as funny but it could also be a bad thing. Especially for Asian American actors. In a way, they will be confined to just that funny role and it'll be hard for them to get a more serious role/leading role.
